Editorial Style Guide
This Editorial Style Guide represents a set of “best practices” that we have found to be helpful when writing and editing copy. Information and usage were taken from a variety of sources, including the Chicago Manual of Style, the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook, and a collection of U-M school and college style guides.
The most important thing is to be consistent. Whether you decide to use serial commas or not…capitalize “University” or not…or spell out all numbers…just make sure it is done the same way throughout your material.
